Vieux-Port Crescent - Vieux-Port, Place Royale & Petit Champlain

The Vieux-Port de Québec (old port), at the confluence of Saint-Charles River and the St.Lawrence River, is literally steeped in history and provides a window on the maritime activity of yesteryear.

The lock, maintains constant water level within bassin Louise, gives access to a marina that can accommodate several hundred boats. The Marché du Vieux-Port (market), where farmers from the region sell their produce.

The rue Saint-Paul, where well-known antique shops have been in business for several years. You will find various boutiques, art galleries, restaurants and cafés where time seems to have stopped. This is one of the oldest districts in North America. Visitors can admire three centuries of history as they stroll down its narrow, colorful streets.

Nestled between cap Diamant and the St. Lawrence River, Place Royale has now been almost completely restored and is reserved for pedestrian traffic.
