Réserve faunique des Laurentides
Created in 1895 under the name of “Parc des Laurentides”, the territory acquired the status of a wildlife reserve in 1981. This special status makes it possible to carry out scientific studies here and to limit access to harvesting activities for a better protection of the territory. During the winter season, Camp Mercier of Réserve faunique des Laurentides becomes one of the best-known ski centers in the Northeast. In summer, Réserve faunique des Laurentides is a great spot for vacation activities. While it is best known for the quality of its fishing, several other activities such as wildlife observation, bird-watching, canoeing, kayaking and cycling are offered here.
